Coach site visits to ActionSEE grantees

 

Coaches Milovan Papić and Miroslav Šćepanović, that work closely with ACTION SEE grantees on implementation of their project, have organized coach site visits to awarded CSO’s. The purpose of these meetings was to advise and assist grantees in their project implementation.

Tasks of the coaches are to: facilitate the monitoring visits, complement the capacity building efforts and provide follow-up support to the CSOs, conduct outreach towards their constituents, the media and the relevant state institutions…

Coach site visits are organized with:

· NGO Institute Alternative on 22nd December 2017 in this NGO’s premises in Podgorica, where coaches met with 2 representatives – Ana Djurnic and Tamara Delić;

· NGO MogUL on 25th December in this NGO’s premises in Ulcinj, where they met with 2 representatives – Dzemal Perović and Zecanija Sulejmanovic;

· NGO 35 mm on 26th December in this NGO’s premises in Podgorica, where they met with 2 representatives – Kristina Cetkovic and Blazo Crvenica.

During these meetings coaches and grantees discussed on project activities, goals, plans, timeline, including both programme and financial component.

Awardees from Montenegro are:

Institute Alternative – Confidential Procurement: Out of Sight – Out of Mind project aims at improving transparency and accountability in the public procurement process and the public spending therewith.

35mm – Fairness and not Bias – Eradicate Cronyism! project aims to form network of civil society organizations, media and individuals against cronyism that will play proactive role in the eradication of cronyism on local and national level, and will also raise public awareness and encourage public dialogue on cronyism and employment in the public administration based on party affiliation.

Monitoring Group Ulcinj – MogUL – Transparency for Accountability project aims at engaging journalists, media as well as citizens in order to influence and increase the level of transparency of public institutions and administrative bodies.

 

ACTION SEE – Accountability, Technology and Institutional Openness Network in SEE project, is implemented by Metamorphosis Foundation in partnership with Westminster Foundation for Democracy from Great Britain, CRTA – Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability from Serbia, Citizens Association Why not? from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Center for Democratic Transition from Montenegro, Open Data Kosovo – ODK and Levizja Mjaft! from Albania, with financial support of the European Union.

The project aims to increase the inclusion of civic society and media organizations in decision making processes and the creation of public opinion and policies, as well as to raise the capacity of civic societies to address sensitive issues.
