Analysis of the National Negotiation Structure

Project summary:

CDT Research Centre conducted a comparative analysis of negotiation structures in eight countries that joined the EU in 2004, including negotiation structures of the Republic of Croatia as the Western Balkan country that went through a process of negotiation and is now close to the EU membership.

The study aimed to highlight basic principles on which the negotiation process should be based, as well as the most important issues to be addressed in order to create a better negotiating model, which would ensure efficient and transparent negotiations.

The project pointed out existing problems and offered a number of good practices, and thus opened the way towards defining the key principles of negotiating process.
